Terms & Conditions

The rules and expectations for using SparkleSpot. By using the platform you agree to the terms below.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, browsing cleaners, or booking a service on SparkleSpot, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

2. What SparkleSpot provides

SparkleSpot is a marketplace that connects customers with independent cleaning professionals. We facilitate discovery, booking, messaging, and payment, but we are not the employer, agent, or partner of any cleaner listed on the platform.

3. Booking & payment

All bookings are paid through SparkleSpot using a card at checkout. Your card is charged when the booking is confirmed. Prices include applicable sales tax — a base state tax plus any municipal (city) tax based on the service address — along with any platform or convenience fees shown at checkout. Tipping is optional and paid directly to the cleaner.

4. Cancellations & refunds

You may cancel a confirmed booking. Refund eligibility depends on how far in advance you cancel, as shown at checkout and in the booking policy you agreed to. Some bookings (for example, window-cleaning jobs with a pre-cleaning appraisal) may have special terms.

5. Cleaner responsibilities

Cleaners are independent contractors solely responsible for the quality of their work and for any damage, loss, or claims arising from their services. SparkleSpot is not liable for the acts or omissions of any cleaner. Cleaners agree to our Cleaner Code of Conduct and verification requirements as a condition of listing. Cleaners are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any required sales tax license through their State Department of Revenue and for remitting all applicable sales tax collected through SparkleSpot to the appropriate tax authority. As a condition of listing and of requesting any payout, cleaners must acknowledge and electronically certify that they hold the required sales tax license.

6. Conduct & safety

You agree to treat other users with respect, not to misuse the messaging or booking systems, and not to request off-platform payments or services. Violating these standards may result in removal from the platform without notice.

7. Limitation of liability

SparkleSpot is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SparkleSpot is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any cleaning service booked through it.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of SparkleSpot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
